The organizers of the event officially announced the cancellation via their social media channels, a message that was subsequently shared by Arijit Singh himself, underscoring his support. As of now, there has been no further information regarding a potential rescheduling of the concert.
In a statement shared on their Instagram story on Thursday, the organizers informed fans that Arijit Singh’s Chennai performance, originally scheduled for Sunday, April 27th, has been called off. The statement assured ticket holders that they would receive a complete refund.
The official note read: “In light of the recent and tragic events, the organizers along with the artist have collectively made the decision to cancel the upcoming show scheduled to happen in Chennai this Sunday, April 27th. All ticket holders will receive full refunds, and the amount will be automatically refunded back to your original mode of payment.” Arijit Singh further amplified this message by re-sharing the story with folded hands emojis, conveying his solemn solidarity.
The devastating terror attack occurred on April 22nd at 3 PM in Pahalgam’s Baisaran, Jammu and Kashmir. This horrific incident resulted in the loss of over 26 innocent lives and left many others deeply traumatized and injured.
